Day-By-Day Itinerary

DAY1

Arrival – Colombo

Arrive at Colombo International Airport, where you will be welcomed by an English-speaking driver-guide. Transfer to Colombo and enjoy free time to explore the city’s vibrant markets, historic landmarks, gardens, and coastal surroundings.

Overnight stay in Colombo.

DAY2

Colombo – Kegalle – Sigiriya

After breakfast, travel towards Sigiriya, stopping en route at the Millennium Elephant Foundation to learn about elephant care and conservation. Continue to your hotel and check in.

DAY3

Sigiriya – Matale – Kandy

After breakfast, climb the magnificent Sigiriya Rock Fortress, renowned for its ancient frescoes, water gardens, and historic ruins. Continue to Matale to visit a spice garden and learn about Sri Lankan spices and traditional herbal treatments. In Kandy, visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic.

DAY4

Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Kandy, with a tuk-tuk ride if available. Visit a gemstone workshop and a batik factory before travelling to Nuwara Eliya. Stop at a tea plantation and factory to discover the art of Ceylon tea production. Check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY5

Nuwara Eliya – Ella – Tissamaharama

After breakfast, drive towards Tissamaharama, stopping in Ella for photographs of the famous Nine Arch Bridge, Ella Gap, and Ravana Falls. In the afternoon, enjoy a jeep safari at Yala National Park, known for its diverse wildlife, including elephants, leopards, and peacocks.

DAY6

Tissamaharama – Weligama – Galle – Beach Resort

Travel along Sri Lanka’s scenic southern coast. Witness traditional stilt fishing in Weligama before exploring Galle’s historic Dutch Fort, colonial architecture, charming streets, and iconic lighthouse. Continue to Ahungalla to visit a turtle hatchery before transferring to your beach resort.

DAY7

South Beach Resort

Enjoy breakfast and a full day at leisure. Relax on the beach, soak up the tropical sunshine, or explore the surrounding coastal area independently.

DAY8

South Beach Resort

Enjoy another relaxing day by the sea. Spend your time swimming, unwinding at the resort, or enjoying optional activities at your own expense.

DAY9

Beach Resort – Airport / Beach Extension

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure flight. Alternatively, extend your beach stay for a longer coastal holiday.
